The Duality Of Solids or The Crystalline And The Amorphous.

In an empty room, ten cubes placed in the corner can be arranged as a step pyramid. Once placed in the correct positions the structure is formed and it displays a pure symmetry.

Collecting sphere clusters within the stepped platforms allows a natural expansion to occur.

At this point a membrane covering can freely grow, unifying the aggregating spheres.

Crystalline growth building up from within the surface of the wall extends outwards from an invisible origin into the macroscopic displaying its own unique and dynamic symmetry.

The two forms expand with increasing complexity, encroaching on the previously sterile environment.

Refracted light colours the crystalline growth as fungus-like microorganisms begin covering the decaying biomass pyramid.

A change has occurred.

After toxic mold inspections and a thorough evaluation of the premises by a mycologist, including mold sampling, it is discovered that the fungus is producing potentially hazardous Mycotoxins

The structure must be destroyed and the space sterilized once more.

The experiment has failed, although valuable data was collected and further research will continue.
