A piece of gum I personally chewed, preserved for natural history.
I appreciate gum for its qualities of colour, interactivity, intimacy in use, and its protean descriptions of complex forms. It is an intuitive medium with a fascinating life cycle; packet, wrapper, cubic piece, chewed, discard. Interrupting this cycle by preservation exposes an instant typically overlooked. A unique form is produced and with this I can reflect on areas of uncertainty and infinite possibility.
